The first step in producing a custom web site is to create a layout or a picture of what the new site will look like. You will receive a link to view your new design (keep in mind this is only a mock-up of the soon-to-be-developed site).
This layout is actually a reasonably large photograph. Internet Explorer, by default, will automatically resize large photos to more properly fit in your browser window. Because of this, the layout may appear distorted. Follow these steps to turn off this “feature” so you may view the layout properly:
- View your layout (procedure described below).
- Select TOOLS from your browser window (top edge of window)
- Select INTERNET OPTIONS from the tools menu (last selection)
- Click on the ADVANCED tab on the top of the resulting window
- Scroll the features down to the MULTIMEDIA section (about one third of the way down)
- Uncheck the feature called “Enable Automatic Image Resizing”
- Press OK to close the window
- Reload the layout (press refresh or or select VIEW/REFRESH)
This should clear up the layout significantly for your viewing.
Instructions
Your layout(s) should be available at http://layouts.adconn.com.You will need a site code (provided by us) to access your designs. If you have forgotten your code, please send an e-mail to support@adconn.com to request it again.
Enter your site code at the top of the Layout Chooser page. If entered correctly, you will be presented with your first layout and a drop-down list of additional available layouts (if found). You may also change the background color by entering the color name or code in the box provided.
