Important note for OUTLOOK users. Please be sure you have OUTLOOK SP1 or later installed or you may have problems sending e-mail. You can get the latest version from Office Update by clicking “Windows Update” in your start menu.

Cannot send email. Getting authorization errors:

SBC has recently changed their mail service such that you may have problems connecting to any other mail system but their own for sending e-mail. This is not really a problem since it is generally a better solution to use your ISPs e-mail system to send mail. Try setting your OUTGOING server to

smtp.sbcglobal.net

Or try one of the servers listed on our Outgoing Mail Servers page.

Users of Outlook 2003 (not Outlook Express) should ensure they have SP1 or later installed. If you do not, visit Microsoft update for the latest revisions.

Ensure that you have properly followed all configuration information. Verify that the password you are using is correct and possibly have your postmaster reconfigure it.
